| Our
Adventure Travel Trip leaders are all volunteers who must
be ADK
members. When you do an ADK trip it is like going with friends. Even if
you don’t know anyone on the outing you soon do since you all share one
thing in common, namely ADK. Our trips give you a connection afterward
with friends you have made that you will have a chance of seeing again
and again at other ADK events.
Our
Adventure Travel Trip leaders are carefully selected for
their organizational
ability, sense of ethics, wilderness experience and people skills. Many
have years of leadership experience within and outside ADK. They
usually
go to places they know and love and want to share with others.
Most
of our leaders first participated in Adventure Travel trips or Seasonal
Outings led by others from whom they learned. Our physically active
trips
and the leaders who lead them almost always develop a sense of
camaraderie
and long-lasting friendships for the participants.
