Laba I started rock climbing at the age of nineteen in the Shawangunks and left school a year later to climb in Yosemite Valley. Since then I have climbed on numerous trips to the American West, Alaska, the Alps and the Andes. In the Alps, I have done the Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route and in California the Sierra High route on skis. Lately my interest has turned to traverses of mountain ranges. In the summer of 2006, I hiked the Pyrenean High Route, which was such a wonderful experience that it inspired me to propose an ADK adventure outing. I speak French and Spanish and am a great fan of the cultural side of a mountain journey. Roman |
