 It all began many years ago on the shores of Hemlock Lake. I enjoyed the first date, the first canoe ride and the first initiation into Pack Paddle Ski. Randy French had just started the company Pack Paddle Ski and now I was his "assistant". I was still in college studying dance and psychology, so when I wasn't in rehearsal, performance, or classes, I was out paddling, hiking, or skiing in some beautiful place. That was over 20 years ago and I am still out paddling, skiing, and hiking in beautiful places all over the world. I have been leading trips for Pack Paddle Ski to Europe, Central America and North America for the past 20 years. I have worked with groups of varying ages, genders, and abilities. It is a great job and lifestyle combined. I even have my own “assistants” now. Our children Kiana and Cameron have been training since birth to be outdoor leaders. They love to go adventuring. I still even manage a few pliés here and there, when I am not off on adventures to far away places. Deborah |
