![]() 35 years ago, I visited the Adirondack Loj, climbed Mount Jo and fell in love with the Adirondacks. I have been hiking and climbing ever since that visit! Our second home is in Keene Valley. In 1989, I became a 46er with three of my four children (now ages 23 to 29). We return to Keene Valley every summer, fall and winter, hiking and canoeing and cross-country skiing, always enjoying the beauty of its mountains. I have been active in the Adirondack Trail Improvement Society (A.T.I.S.) for 20 years, and I have led adult hikes for ATIS in the High Peaks. I am also a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, and frequently hike in the Hudson Highlands and Catskills Mountains on weekends. Anthony's Nose, Breakneck Ridge, Bear Mountain are regulars. I live in Tarrytown, New York. Between hikes, I am a working girl, managing an active law practice in Westchester County and surrounding counties. I am a devotee of opera and classical music. And I love dancing. I have been an expert Celtic dancer since the age of seven. But I love all dancing - - folk, rock, latin, ballroom. Always look for an opportunity to enjoy music and dance when on a hiking trip (salsa in Quito . . .) For me, hiking is an adventure - a chance to deeply experience nature, and to meet and engage new people and make friends, on the trek or trail. My lifelong interest in botany, in flora, enhances the hike. In the past fifteen years, I have hiked and climbed in Scotland, Ireland, Ecuador, Switzerland, Africa and of course the United States (New York, Vermont, Colorado, Oregon, Montana, Arizona, Nevada).
