Around the World

Mallnitz is located in Austria's southern most region of Carinthia, which is north of Italy and Slovenia. It is situated at about 4000ft. in a deep mountain valley surrounded by mountains on all sides ranging from 7000ft. to 11000ft. The Grossglockners, the highest peak in Austria, is almost always in our view. Direct train service makes this location convenient. The village is only 2 hours from Salzburg and just 4 hours from Munich.

We will be based in the four-star Hotel Alber located near the central square in the small village.

This will be a mostly moderate to strenuous hiking trip with many short strenuous sections. When it is convenient, we will use mountain lifts to quickly get us up to the high mountain meadows and trails.
