DESCRIPTION
September 5 - 11, 2009 $1,430 Lalita Malik, Trip Leader  Explore some of the
richest archaeological resources in the world with hikes in the Four
Corners region, where
the states of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona meet. We will
visit Canyon Country that is just as spectacular as Canyon lands
National Park, but less well-known or crowded. Learn how ancient people
lived their
daily lives, explore the wonders of rock art and ruins, and hike to
Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi) sites. Float 26 miles on the San Juan
River to the very edge of Monument Valley to see even more spectacular
ruins and petroglyphs. |
