DESCRIPTION
June 15 - 25, 2009 $1500 Roman Laba, Trip Leader NOTE: TRIP FULL, CONTACT LEADER TO BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST The Enchanted Mountains: A spectacular Pyrenean mountain range with numerous high lakes and memorable mountains. Our trip is a famous mountain circuit called the Chariots of Fire (Carros de Foc). We will spend nine days in a circuit of the range going over high mountain cols and doing easy walk-up peaks. Because it will be early summer with snow on the high passes, we will carry crampons and ice axes. The trip is scheduled for June to avoid the crowds and to appreciate the snow. We will carry light day packs because all our meals will be provided by the refuges where we will spend the nights. |
