Hiking and Nature
Study Glacier National Park, Montana August 1 - 9, 2009 FULL Contact Leader for Waiting List NEW August 9 - 17, 2009 NEW $1314 Sandy Hildreth, Leader  This
trip is intended to be both a challenging recreational and a unique
learning experience. Our guide/outfitter will be the Glacier
Institute,
a non-profit, educational organization based in West Glacier and
dedicated to sharing knowledge about and preserving the park. Each day’s guide/naturalist led hike will feature a different educational subject (wildlife, wildflowers, geology, etc.) while providing opportunities to view spectacular scenery and wildlife. The itinerary includes traveling the length of the exhilarating Going-to-the-Sun Road and a half day raft trip on the Flathead River. Hikes are moderate to somewhat strenuous and range from 4 to 11 miles. |
