 This
9-day trekking tour crosses the wonderful lavender fields in the south
of France from Mount Ventoux, the most famous cyclist mountain of
Europe, to Eourres, a small picturesque village at the edge of the Alps
and Provence. Passing through small villages we will discover
nature, the typical regional architecture, historical buildings and
monuments and of course the amazing views and smells of the sunny hills
covered in lavender. Our overnight stays will be in beautiful
guest houses and farms. Evening meals will be delightful French
cuisine. Donkeys will carry our luggage so that we can hike
comfortably in the summer heat. Good physical condition is
required.Tentative Itinerary Price of $1300 ($75 nonrefundable) includes: Accommodations, meals, luggage transport by donkeys, ground transportation from/to Avignon. Not included: Airfare, some beverages, accommodation in Avignon. $300 deposit ($75 nonrefundable) required to register, balance due April 1, 2006.
