IN NORWAY - JOTUNHEIMEN TO AURLANDSFJORD
July 11 - 22,
2004
$1600
Mary
Loe, Leader
Hike nine days with a guide, first in Norway's magnificent
Jotunheimen
mountains, and then on the spectacular, historic Aurlandsdalen trail
between
east and west Norway to Flaam and its fjord. Includes the famous
Bukkelegeret edge above glacial Lake Gjende, the most beautiful valley
hike in Norway, plummeting waterfalls, and some fjord sightseeing.
Using
Norway's famous hut-to-hut system means relatively light backpacks,
since
lodges are fully equipped and provide each day's meals during the hike.
You should be able to hike in easy to steep terrain,
carrying a 16-22 # pack for 6-7 hrs. a day, in varying weather.
Cost
covers all lodging, including hotels in Oslo and Flaam; transport in
Norway
by ferry, bus & train; and nearly all meals. Airfare is not
included.
Price subject to changes in currency rates. For full itinerary,
