Five days of guided kayaking on the coastal waters and four nights of camping on the wild and rugged islands of Maine. Follow this with four days of hiking, biking and sightseeing in spectacular Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, where the mountains come down to the sea. Licensed Maine Guides from Coastal Kayaking Tours, www.acadiafun.com, will lead us in stable, tandem kayaks to designated, primitive island campsites, and on strenuous hikes over Acadia's mountains. Also included is a day of bicycling Acadia's famous Carriage Roads and a free day for sightseeing and shopping in historic and picturesque Bar Harbor. Trip cost of $1200 per person, double occupancy, includes all water and camping equipment (except sleeping bag and pad), bike rental, 4 nights of camping, 6 nights in a motel within walking distance of downtown, 11 meals (one of which is in a restaurant), guide service, fees.
