Visit
the villages of Sierre, Chandolin/St. Luc, Zinal, Grimentz and Vercorin
on this hiking tour of Switzerland.
The adventure begins at the Swiss village of Sierre on the Rhone river from which we will hike in the vicinity of Val d'Anniviers' seven stunning mountains: the Matterhorn, Weisshorn, Obergabelhorn, Zinalrothorn, Besso, Bishorn and Dent-Blanche. Hiking elevations range from 1748 feet in Sierre to 6344 feet at Chandolin. The difficulty of hiking is moderate to difficult. We will be hiking 6 to 8 hours a day, covering 9 to12 miles on well marked trails. You will hike to 5 different villages with your backpack/luggage (one per person) transferred from inn to inn leaving you free to enjoy hiking with just a light daypack.
Each night we will stay at a unique 3-star family owned inn where dinner and breakfast will be provided. We will stay in a total of 5 different inns with 2 nights spent at 3 chosen locations. This will allow participants to take a couple days off from hiking to rest, sightsee, shop or even hike some more.
The trip price of $1350 ($100 non-refundable), includes 8 nights double room accommodations, breakfast, trail lunch, dinner, inn-to-inn luggage transfer, hiking map of the region in English, all hotel taxes and service charges. Because of limited hotel space, it is best to reserve your space early.
