Tentative Itinerary:

Daily Plan: 7:15 breakfast, 8:30 hikes depart, 4-5:00 return to OPI, 6:00 dinner, 7:30-8:30 evening program (S, M, T).

Sunday 6/20 : Arrive before 2:00 at SeaTac Airport, Seattle,  WA. Meet group and take chartered shuttle to Olympic Peninsula Institute (OPI). Dinner and orientation.

Monday 6/21: Sol Duc Valley- Hike up to Mink Lake and the Seven Lakes Basin region/meadows via Sol Duc Hot Springs, lunch in meadows near a small tarn (glacial lake) with views of Mink Lake Valley below. Observe alpine wildflowers. Option later to visit Sol Duc Falls if time and energy allow,  5-7.4 miles RT, gain 1460'. Evening  program

Tuesday 6/22:  Hurricane Ridge to Elwha Valley-  Drive up to the ridge (~5000') with its great open views of Mt. Olympus, at 7965' highest in the Olympic Range, and Vancouver Is. across the Strait of San Juan de Fuca to the north There are many alpine wildflowers here.  Hike up Hurricane Hill (5757') for more views then to Elwha Ranger Station losing 4,600'. 7-8 miles total mostly downhill. Evening  program.

Wednesday 6/23:  Hoh Rainforest-  Hike the Hall of Mosses, Spruce Nature Trail and along the Hoh Valley to get the flavor of a coniferous temperate rain forest environment with its giant trees, huge ferns  abundant mosses and hanging lichens. 4-6 miles RT, little elevation change. Evening open to canoe, watch the sunset or hike to nearby Marymere Falls, 1.8 mi. RT.

Thursday 6/24:  Hurricane Ridge ? Return to Hurricane Ridge and hike, possibly across snowfields, toward Obstruction Point. Spectacular views and alpine wildflowers abound. 4-6 miles RT, less than 100' elevation change. Evening  open or possible campfire.

Friday 6/25:  Pacific Coast Options 1: Lake Ozette (9 mile loop- board walk, beach combing, tide pools, petroglyph).  Option 2: Cape Flattery - Makah museum. Farewell Dinner .

Saturday 6/26: After early  breakfast take 7:30 AM chartered shuttle back to SEATAC airport, 3.5 hr.. Trail lunch will be provided for the trip. Plan flights after 1:00pm
